    Excellent obituary, but missing several chunks of bodies of work including her work with the RSC. She joined the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre company in 1959. The RSC was created in 1960. Diana was offered a 5 year contract . She played numerous roles including Adriana in A comedy of errors, Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and a seminal Cornelia in King Lear opposite Paul scofield. In the 80s she played Regan to Olivier’s Lear in Granada TV production. She returned in 66 to play Viola in Twelfth Night. Other excellent work. In this House of Brede made for CBS in 70s, Emmy nomination. She was also twice nominated for The Avengers. The year after she left, Look magazine wrote (I think it was Look) “There was Barbara Bain winning her third straight dramatic farce trophy. She who isn’t fit to wear Diana Rigg’s discarded leotards “. Here are others. Hedda Gabler Tv in 80s, Rita Almers in little Eyolf (BBC) and three years later sane role at Lyric Hammersmith in 85, Antony and Cleopatra at Chichester in 85, all for love by Dryden ( her debut at the Almeida in 1990, phedre and Britannicus, both by Racine at Almeida, then BAM. Mother Love and Bleak house . Detectorist with Rachael. Last night I watched three piece suite made in late 76 for BBC, a part of a set Diana Rigg at the BBC. My fav actress
