(NEW YORK) – Tony Award Productions announced the postponement of the 74th Annual Tony Awards on March 25. The show slated to be presented live on the CBS Television Network has been scheduled for Sunday, June 7.
Prepared on behalf of the American Theatre Wing and the Broadway League, the statement announced the event set for Radio City Music Hall in New York City “will be postponed and rescheduled at a later date, in coordination with our broadcast partner. The health and safety of the Broadway community, artists and fans is of the utmost importance to us.”
The statement promised to announce new dates and additional information once Broadway opens again.
“We are looking forward to celebrating Broadway and our industry when it is safe to do so,” the statement read.
